NANOCOLOR Photometer Softwareupdate
31/08/2026
From the moment the sample is prepared to the result appearing on the photometer, we consistently observe an impressive level of efficiency amongst our customers. However, if information such as the sampling location, sample type and sampling date is to be added to the measurement result, things quickly become complicated. Every manual entry takes time and slows down the processing of the measurement series. It is not uncommon for large sample volumes to result in several hundred entries per day.
However, omitting these entries is often not an option, as data transfer to systems such as ACRON, AQASYS or LIMS only works smoothly if the sample is accompanied by the correct information. Good advice is hard to come by here – unless you work with MACHEREY-NAGEL.
In the new software version 1.16.1 for our spectrophotometres, the NANOCOLOR VIS II and NANOCOLOR UV/VIS II, we have integrated a new function that allows you to process up to six sample records at once simply by scanning a single barcode. Recurring information can be conveniently encoded in a 2D barcode and, after the measurement, quickly and accurately read in using a separate handheld scanner. The time taken to enter sample information can thus be reduced to just a few seconds without a single click. For you, this means you can process your measurement series quickly.
Particularly practical: All the information entered is displayed directly on the measurement screen and can be checked visually. You might be wondering, what’s the catch? Even the best system is of little value if the users in the laboratory aren’t on board and their concerns aren’t being listened to. We developed this feature in collaboration with end customers and tested its suitability even with large sample volumes.
The workflow is key.
We’ll support you in implementing it for your laboratory.
