Examples of chromatographic analysis of anti-corona drugs
2-deoxy-D-glucose
2-deoxy-D-glucose is a glucose molecule in which the hydroxyl group in the 2 position has been replaced by hydrogen. By inhibiting glycolysis, 2-deoxy-D-glucose affects carbohydrate metabolism and thus could prevent further proliferation of cells infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Budesonide
Even though the vaccination campaign is making progress in many parts of the world – the EU continues, albeit at a “different” pace - the need for effective drugs against COVID-19 remains high. For the treatment of COVID-19, a common asthma drug (budesonide) showed potentially good efficacy in initial tests.
