Global disease prevention - A case study for veterinary diagnostics

In this new TECAN application note we present a fully automated workflow in veterinary diagnostics for safe handling, traceability and screening. Using the individual barcodes on the new NucleoProtect VET tubes, samples are registered via the Fluent ID barcode scanner while the DreamPrep NAP workstation performs sample transfer and pathogen DNA/RNA extraction using the NucleoMag VET kit.
In this application note, Tecan and MACHEREY-NAGEL demonstrate how the NucleoMag® VET kit can be used on the DreamPrep® NAP workstation to automatically extract pathogen DNA/RNA from blood and swab samples collected using NucleoProtect® VET.
