Important notes:
If you are updating from a version < 2.0.0, you must first update to version 2.0.0. The update file for version 2.0.0 is included in the download file.

Important notes:
For the NANOCOLOR UV/VIS we recommend an update of the device for all users using firmware version 8.0.0 or 8.0.1! An error in the data memory can result in an incorrect documentation of the chemical form (e.g. PO4-P).

You can update your NANOCOLOR 500 D, 400 D and PF‑12 photometer easily with the present firmware version. For this update you ned the update software described here. If you do not yet use this software on your computer, you must first download and execute the software.
If you are already using the update software, you must only refresh the update files from the programme.
In both cases, please follow the update instructions for the update software.

How to check the present firmware version from your photometers:
Please check if a update from your photometer is necessary. Therefore have a look on the welcome page of your photometer. The present firmware version is displayed for 2 seconds during the start of the photometer.

Important notes:
An update to the new software version 7.0.0.0 requires also a firmware update of the spectrophotometer to the version 4.0.0 (NANOCOLOR VIS) and 6.0.0 (NANOCOLOR UV/VIS) and conversely. There will no longer be a downward compatibility with our old spectrophotometer firmware versions! The software will display a warning in case of compatibility problems.

Important notes
Please note that from heating block software version 05.00.00.10 onwards, the pc software is no longer supported.
Before conducting a system update, the new update file must be stored on a USB stick. (The update-file must be stored in the root directory of the USB stick; sub-files will not be found by the photometer!)
Perform the update:
Download the update ZIP file via the link above and extract the ZIP file on your computer.
Copy the .hex update file to the upper level of a USB-stick and connect the USB-stick to the device.
The update file is detected automatically. In case that the automatic detection fails, please carefully knock on the screen in the lower right corner directly after switching on the device. A menu opens which allows for starting the update process.
The device will indicate the status of the update by a green status bar on the display of the device. Please do not turn off the instrument during this process!
NANOCOLOR Heating block software
Easy data managment and a wide range of special features with the Kalib software. For the following heating blocks the PC software is online available: NANOCOLOR VARIO 4, VARIO C2, VARIO C2M and VARIO HC.
