MACHEREY-NAGEL's Bead beating solutions
Bead beating is an essential step for mechanical homogenization of difficult sample materials. Examples of complex sample materials include, but are not limited to, soil, stool, plant materials, and microbes found in filtered water or air samples. We have developed a series of bead types, each suited for a different kind of sample material. We have even included bead tubes in some of our extraction kits to ensure a thorough and uniform sample lysis in a convenient manner.
Bead beating tubes containing various bead types are available for samples processed in low throughput extraction workflows, while high throughput bead beating products include 96-well racks that come conveniently pre-filled with various bead options.
Bead beating procedures for mechanical homogenization can be combined with multiple nucleic acid isolation technologies such as silica membrane, magnetic bead, or anion exchange based extraction methods.
