Binding
DNA is precipitated on the silica membrane under high salt conditions
Washing
Contaminants are washed away under high salt and / or ethanolic conditions to keep the DNA / RNA on the membrane
Elution
The funnel part is snapped off from the Mini spin column
DNA is resuspended and eluted with low salt buffer or water
DNA is ready to use for downstream applications
