Confirmed precision and robustness
Our method is approved and showed outstanding performance in the govermental funded research project „Das SARS-CoV-2 Genom im Abwasser – Monitoring der Pandemieentwicklung mittels Sequenzierung“.
The method allowed precise detection of the corona virus in the sample with a lower limit of 2,5^1 copies / liter. The average detection was 6,25^4 copies /liter.
Measurements of more than one year (August 2021 - June 2022), show a correlation of the viral load (SARS-CoV-2 copies) in wastewater with the local incidence using the example of a sewage treatment plant in southern Germany.
