BioFix Lumi brings light into the darkness

BioFix Lumi luminescent bacteria tests are rapid biological tests for determining acute toxicity in water samples. They are based on the natural bioluminescence of the marine bacteria Aliivibrio fischeri. The natural luminescence of the bacteria is inhibited by toxic substances and is therefore a parameter for the toxicity of a sample.

This parameter indicates whether naturally occurring bacteria in the environment or at the wastewater treatment plant could be harmed. This allows for the determination of an appropriate dilution stage for the wastewater.
