Photometric determination with dithizone.
At pH 7 to 9 in the presence of cyanide lead(II) ions react with dithizone
to form primary lead dithizonate, which is soluble in carbon tetrachloride with high selectivity
yielding a pink solution (extraction method). |

This test uses extraction methods and contains chlorinated
hydrocarbons. If national or international legal limitations for the use, storage or shipment
of tetrachlormethane must be observed, this test is also available without CCl4. The
tetrachlormethane is requiered for this test and has to be purchased from a local laboratory shop. |
