Photometric determination of cyanide
	Photometric determination with barbituric acid/pyridine. Cyanide ions react with chloroamine T to form cyanogen chloride which, with a pyridine derivative and barbituric acid forms a polymethine dye. The test measures free cyanide and cyanide complexes which can be destroyed with chlorine.
