In photometry, turbidity as a source of error is often underestimated. Turbidity influences the result while it is not always easy to detect visually. Even small amounts that are hardly perceptible with the human eye may significantly compromise analytical results.
Now, MACHEREY-NAGEL offers the perfect solution to this problem. To achieve maximum result safety, we integrated an automatic turbidity check when using tube tests on our NANOCOLOR® spectrophotometers. As a world-wide unique feature, we added an automatic parallel turbidity measurement in conjunction with the photometric determination. The result is displayed according to DIN ISO 7027 directly in NTU next to the actual result. If the turbidity is too high, the system warns the user of potentially compromised values.

NANOCOLOR® VARIO HC – Heating block with active cooling function

The new heating block NANOCOLOR® VARIO HC impresses with an integrated cooling function. Obviously it also features the modern design, USB interface for PC connection, lockable protective lids and the colored touch screen native to the current Vario family. With the cooling function, the block can cool cuvettes from 160 to 50 °C in less than 10 minutes. Thus your work becomes quicker and easier and using tube tests gets even more safe as you don’t have to handle hot tubes anymore.
