Sample pretreatment:
Sample solutions: 0.1 mL of oil are dissolved in 3 mL toluene
Reference solution: 10 mg menthol are solved in 1 mL toluene



Conditions:
Applied volume: 2 μl per track
Eluent: n-hexane – ethyl acetate (9.7:0.3, v/v)
Separation time: 7 min



Detection:

after developing and drying, the plate is immersed in anisaldehyde reagent (0.5 mL anisaldehyde, 10 mL acetic acid, 85 mL methanol, 5 mL sulfuric acid) and then heatened at 100 °C (oven, heating plate)
