Analysis of biodiesel with the new OPTIMA
®
BioDiesel GC columns
The manufacturing of diesel from renewable resources obtains an increasing importance. The grade of biodiesel is specified in accordance with DIN EN 14214 or with ASTM D 6751. The following parameters have to be determined in the analysis:
Analysis of methanol in accordance with DIN EN 14110
The methanol content must not exceed 0.2 %. Methanol can be determined in the concentration range from 0.01 to 0.5 % by headspace GC with the OPTIMA
®
BioDiesel M column.
