You can update your NANOCOLOR® spectrophotometer easily with the present firmware version. Handbook pages for new tests and methods are available through our Order Service.

Before starting a system update, please make sure to secure your user-defined special methods with the help of the NANOCOLOR® pc software for spectrophotometer (see manual NANOCOLOR® pc software for spectrophotometer). Before conducting a system update, the new program-file must be stored on a USB stick. (The update-file must be stored in the root directory of the USB stick; sub-files will not be searched by the photometer! The file has to be STORED and NOT to be OPENED!)
Connect the USB stick to one of the USB ports before switching the NANOCOLOR® spectrophotometer on. After switching on the instrument, on the touchscreen you will find the question if you would like to conduct a system update.

After a successful update, the photometer performs a self-test. Here, the lamps and the settings of the wavelengths are tested and a zero balance is set. After the self-test, the methods are called up and the photometer is ready to operate. If any deviation is detected during the self-test, the photometer will display the request for a re-calibration.
